The 2026 Jazz Crossing the Border Tour will kick off in Hermosillo, the vibrant capital of Sonora — a city where music fills the air and life itself moves to the rhythm of jazz. Our journey will begin with an interactive workshop for local students, a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
Throughout the day, young musicians will learn, play, and connect through the language of jazz — discovering that creativity has no borders. As the sun sets, the energy will rise with a spontaneous jam session where Arizona and Sonoran artists come together on one stage.
In that moment, words won’t be necessary — the music will speak for everyone. This opening workshop will set the tone for the entire tour: a celebration of connection, collaboration, and unity through the spirit of jazz.
